I really liked how these looked on the model. when I tried them on, I liked how they fit. However, when I looked at them on, it looked as though I was wearing charcoal sweatpants. The fabric and pattern seemed too casual for the intended dressier look of the pants. The pants didn't hold a pressed crease. It just ended up looking like a fancy pair of tailored sweatpants.
This shirt is nice and thin, but not see-through. I feel like it hangs in a very flattering way, particularly if you have a large bust. Good length if you are tall (I'm 5'9" and things are often too short).
This pant is well-suited for a casual work setting. Nice shape to the pants. The material is fairly thin, so it feels lightweight. The color I ordered was beige, and it goes perfectly with the beige found in many of the other Limited shirts.
This looked great on the model. When I got it home, I was less impressed. I'm 5'9" with a large bust and otherwise average build. So, I'm often forced to buy an XL for tops, just to fit my chest and for the length.
I found that this sweater fit like a barrel- no real form to the body of the shirt. And, it wasn't long enough.
I had a hard time telling from the photo that this particular pattern and material was the type that often stretched out over time. I have a larger bust, and find that this type of shirt frequently loses its form in the region of the bust over the course of a day. By the end of the day, the vertically oriented striped pattern turns a into a wavy pattern. The opposite thing you want when you are not trying to draw attention to that area.
The length of the sleeve was nice. The color was nice. But, I can't say that I loved the way the cardigan looked when it was on. However, I did end up keeping the cardigan. Maybe I'm just not a cardigan type of girl.
That's interesting that this was asked. I have the orange shirt. I had originally thought that it had black stripes. I wore this with a pair of black pants. When I was in natural light, I quickly noticed that it looked off. I had a hard time telling if they were blue stripes in the natural sunlight. I went home and changed shirts altogether. I will still wear this shirt, but likely with jeans rather than taking a risk with either black or dark blue pants.
